Taking better care of yourselves..

There comes a time in every server's life (and everyone else for that matter), when you realize, you aren't as young as you used to be, and you just can't push yourself to the limits that you were able to before.

My time has come. I have always been a hard worker. I have been in this industry a long time and i love what i do. Whether it is cooking, or serving or bar tending whatever, i love customer service. I used to be able to work double after double and still put on a smile.

Once upon a Dummy

This may or may not become a blog segment...

Ok, so one of the major reasons i am transferring to the lounge, is that nearly everyone, except for 3 bartenders have been fired or quit. There is NO ONE down there, and people in the restaurant are fighting for hours...so yeah..pretty much makes my decision easier. Make it stop, make it go away

The whole moving thing isn't really working out right now. Truth be told, we are moving into season here at the lodge. And like a car that is already sliding across the median...this wreck is coming, and wishing we could be out of here before it hits is just plain stupid. And to jump out of the car and let everyone else get the smack down is just plain rude. The tax bill kind of took us by surprise, but it's paid now, and it's over. Decisions, decisions...

I can't believe how long it has been since i have written anything here. I've been super busy and really lacking in the inspiration department. Black Jack 101: Bust

After much internal deliberation i have decided not to continue with the black jack classes, and just focus on my Sommelier studies. I have no intentions of dealing cards for a living, and these classes are taking a lot of time away from my son. Besides, having to watch SusieQ's decent into meth hell is killing me.
